What is slugging?
Slugging is the long-standing, dermatologist-beloved practice of applying an occlusive layer over the skin to prevent water loss. Less water loss means more hydration, and more hydration means plump, juicy, healthy skin.

How often should I slug?
It depends! Everyone is different. We recommend starting 1-2 times a week and increasing or decreasing as needed to find the frequency that works for you. If your skin is on the drier side, you may love it as a daily ritual. Keep in mind skin changes with the seasons, so your slugging routine can change over the course of the year (it’s a savior when it’s cold or dry outside!).
Which skin types does Futurewise work for? Will it work for me?
Futurewise products were formulated with all skin types in mind. Everyone’s skin is different, so we recommend patch testing ahead of first use (like with any new skincare product).
Can I slug if I'm acne-prone?
Our products are third-party tested to be non-comedogenic. However, it is possible that the process of slugging may not work for you if you are particularly acne-prone. On the flip side, there are people with acne for whom slugging has worked wonders! Again, it comes down to the fact that everyone’s skin is different. It is always recommended to test first when using new products and stop use if it doesn’t work for you.
Do I need to use all three products in the Slugging System in order for them to work?
We designed the Slugging System so that the three products work together to deliver layers of intense hydration and moisturize effectively, supporting your skin barrier and helping you achieve optimal slugging results. But our products are also efficacious individually and can fit easily into any routine!
Does SLUG BALM contain petrolatum?
SLUG BALM does not contain petrolatum. Our formula uses plant-based oils as the base that provides occlusive properties to seal in hydration and help skin retain moisture. In addition, we’ve included a lipid complex for extra skin barrier support. You can learn more about Slug Balm here.
Are Futurewise products fragrance-free?
Yes, all of our products are fragrance-free.
Is Futurewise vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes, we are! We’re Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free and vegan, and we do not test on animals (and never will; our mascot is a slug, after all).
How do I know Futurewise products are safe to use?
All of our products are third-party tested and dermatologist reviewed for safety and efficacy.
Are there any products that I shouldn't slug with?
Because slugging increases the potency of any products underneath it, we recommend not using it in conjunction with any potentially irritating ingredients such as retinoids or exfoliating acids.

How long will my order take to arrive?
Please allow for 1-2 business days from when you submit your order to when it’s shipped out.

Where do you ship? Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only ship to the US. We hope to be available in more countries soon!
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of purchase. Please reach out at orders@futurewiseworld.com and provide a reason for refund and your order number. Please note – you will be responsible for the shipping costs and safe return of merchandise.
Refunds will be issued 3-5 business days after we received your return. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund any shipping costs.
All returned (used or unused) products are not returned to inventory and are properly disposed of.
We cannot provide refunds or exchanges for purchases made outside our website. Please refer to the return policy of the retailer from which you purchased.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged at the time you place your order.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Meta Pay, and PayPal.
How do I cancel my order?
Please email us at orders@futurewiseworld.com with the word “CANCEL” in the subject line as soon as possible. Our warehouse works fast to get products out so we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order once it’s been placed, but we will do our best!
How do I change the shipping address on my order?
Please email us at orders@futurewiseworld.com with the word “CHANGE ADDRESS” in the subject line as soon as possible. As with cancelling orders, our warehouse works fast so we cannot guarantee that we will be able to change your shipping order in time. We will try our best!
If the order ends up getting returned to us, we are happy to reship or provide a refund. Unfortunately, we cannot refund or replace orders that have been delivered to the address originally provided.
My tracking shows delivered but I never got it!
USPS often marks packages “delivered” prematurely. In most cases, your order should arrive within 48 hours from “delivered”. If your order still does not show up, please reach out to orders@futurewiseworld.com.
We will be able to refund or re-ship your order after 5 business from when the order is marked delivered. Please note – This is us taking accountability for USPS's mistake so we appreciate your patience in ensuring the package is truly lost. If you would like a faster response, please file a claim with USPS.

Sustainability
Is your packaging eco-friendly?
Futurewise cares about the planet and is on a continuous journey to expand our sustainability efforts. The primary packaging for all of our products contains 30% post-consumer recycled materials (which means previously used and recycled plastics are given new life in our products) and is also recyclable. Our boxes are made with FSC-certified paper, meaning they have been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council to ensure they are ethically and responsibly sourced and produced.
With your help, we can be even more eco-friendly, so please recycle if you can. We know it takes a bit of effort, but Mother Earth will thank you!
What should I do with my empties? Can I recycle them?
